criteria

  1. NATIONALITY AND QUALIFICATION

    • Malaysian and Certified-Qualified Neurosurgeon

  2. AGE

    • The applicant must be less than 45-year-old

  3. NATIONAL SPECIALIST REGISTER (NSR)

    • The applicant must have been registered with the National Specialist Register (NSR)

  4. WORKING EXPERIENCE AND RECOMMENDATION

    • The applicant’s working experience must have been more than 2 years after Neurosurgery-graduation, and is recommended by two seniors or a head of an institution (must have a letter from them – see item C below)

  5. EDUCATION AND ACHIEVEMENT

    • The applicant must have good performance in Neurosurgery (achievement during training period, publication, scientific presentation etc.)

  6. RECOGNITION AND DURATION

    • Abroad attachment must be at the recognized institution for a minimal period of a month

The details and other instructions

  1. NAM is willing to support for educational purposes overseas

  2. NAM will consider its support once a proof/letter of acceptance by the intended abroad specialty-training institution and a letter of approval from his or her current superior or head are submitted and attached together with the NAM-form

  3. The application must at least be made a month before going abroad

  4. Five Zones consideration/priority: Zone 1: - a) North America; b) UK-Europe-Turkey; Zone 2: - a) Pacific Oceania: Australia-New Zealand; b) Asia: China-India-Japan-Korea-Taiwan-Hong Kong-Singapore; Zone 3: - a) South-East-Asia (SEA, note: Singapore in zone 2; Zone 4: - Asia: Middle East countries; zone 5) others: South Africa, South America etc.

  5. The applicant must produce a report and a letter signed by the supervisor after his/her abroad-specialty training has been completed (where applicable, a report and a certificate are adequate)

  6. All the above stated items (item in B; and later, after completing - item in E) must be sent to the head of NAM-educational committee via his email address: neuroscienceszamzuri@gmail.com
